Local non-profit, Alpha Project, recipient of Guests’ Generosity

Jamul, CA, December 22, 2023 – On Friday, December 22, 2023, Jamul Casino Resort presented San Diego non-profit Alpha Project a check for $20,497.54, the sum of funds directly donated from Casino guests.  Jamul Casino Resort selects a new non-profit each quarter to highlight and promote within the Casino.  The San Diego non-profits are advertised prominently on digital screens and stationary posters throughout the 200,000 sq. ft. Casino.  Jamul offers guests the opportunity to donate their small change from each slot ticket.  After tallying the abundant donations from third quarter 2023, Jamul Casino Resort guests made a significant donation to Alpha Project, assisting the organization in continuing to provide services and opportunities to those less fortunate.

Led by President and General Manager, Mary Cheeks, Jamul Casino Resort team members presented Alpha Project with the check at their Downtown San Diego location.  Cheeks states, “As an organization, we wanted to support Alpha Project, highlight their important work, and assist them in serving San Diegans in need.  Evidently, Alpha Project’s mission and stellar reputation resonated deeply with our guests, as well.  Jamul Casino Resort truly has the most generous players who care about giving back to their community.”

Bob McElroy, CEO of Alpha Project, states, “Alpha Project is extremely grateful for Jamul Casino Resort’s support in helping the people we serve.  Your donation will impact others struggling right now, and it is a true blessing to all of us.  Thank you for your generosity and for making a difference in the lives of others less fortunate, especially during the Holiday Season.”
